For something more invasive I was given the Benzodiazepine called Midazolam and I was completely aware during the whole procedure and felt the full pain of it all. For the next 2 years after I was able to tell you exactly what the doctor and nurse were talking about right down to the number of the device as he was complaining about angulation and asking if it had been calibrated recently. What was frustrating is I was telling them how much it hurt and that I couldn handle it much longer but as they assumed I was under sedative effects they ignored me.
